Savages,
I have been applying to a ton of places recently with some luck.
Anyway I recently applied to a job on Total Jobs (terrible terrible terrible place to apply for jobs like Indeed I have no idea how there still active, there both terrible job sites)
Anyway, a few companies got back to me.
One of them, which claimed to be a fintech start up, with a £40k and unlimited commissions asked for an interview.
I had a look at the job post again, and I got more and more suspicious,
I initially thought a recruitment agency posted the job, becasue it had no mention of the name of the company but it had a lot of details about the company, the employees, the sector, the product and their current clients.
Anyway, I decided to take the interview. For practise. I knew it was a weird job post.
Red flag 1 within 2 minutes of the interview.
The guy asks me what time I wake up ahahhahah
I answer, and we proceed.
Then he goes into the pitch.
Red flag 2 - he told me a ton of crap about current reps making $20-100k a month.
Red flag 3 - he asked if all my sales jobs were commission only lol, I said never.
Red flag 4 - didnt ask anything about sales experience or typical interview questions, just continued to pitch about how great the founder is, how famous he is, and how amazing the idea is and other random bullshit.
I was sick of it by now (10 minutes in), and I was about to close Zoom, so I asked what the base, he said £35k or unlimited commission which is higher.
This douchebag was lying about everything the company and is a dumb ass MLM pyramid scheme crap.
Pissed me off, I said ill think about it and left the call, he wasted 15 minutes of my time.
I am never using Indeed or Total Jobs. Total shit holes.
