Pros
Essentially make your own hours
Cons
Heavy outbound prospecting Hitting quota is very much based on your territory Construction industry is slow to adopt new technologies and there's not a lot of money to be thrown around at new software. More expensive than competitors that do the same thing just as well. Fragmented systems glued together to be sold as one integrated platform but it's obvious there's a lot of different platforms at play. No sales enablement tools - no outreach, no LI sales navigator, no email automation or marketing tools. Zoominfo was just adopted late 2021. Subpar training does not prepare you at all for the products you're selling or the industry you're selling to.
About the culture
Disconnected, management only gets involved when they want to point out whats going wrong, never want to celebrate your wins. Hands off.
Advice for New Reps
Be prepared to do a lot of prospecting into your assigned territory which may not be a good one. There's definitely a "play the game" mentality.
