lotta chatter about different strategies on how to avoid or mitigate risk of layoff

whether that's narrowing in on a specific industry, specific tier of company (blue chip, Series D, who the fuck knows), or might be maintaining status as a high producer on your team/ over achieving on quota

here's my thoughts on the matter, what I've found to stand the test of time:

1) demonstrate value

2) engage physically

3) nurture dependence 

4) neglect emotionally

5) inspire hope

6) separate entirely
