Company “restructuring” in the new year

Well, I had Frank but needed conversation with my co-founder today and amidst current market challenges and is pushing our funding round back due to the climate it is most likely I will be let go after the new year. I understand it but doesn’t change it sucking any less. Anyways it’s kind of a monkey off my back because now I’m not gonna stress about when it’s going to happen but instead deal with it and find something even if changing jobs right now isn’t the best thing. Stay safe out there folks and happy holidays.

I just had the talk where I was told “well, the recession is here, need to pull back on out investments. Here is where we want to focus” and found a bunch of areas where I will have to use my connections and experience to get us in the door. Yay!

Honestly I’m not even mad, I have 4 interviews lined up. I’ll be fine but the reality of it sucks, it’s likely not just me and others will also be impacted.
