day 57 of posting everyday - revamping one pagers

I had to do it for the fam.

Solo job is going great. Had a convo with my manager today to let him know I am going to stay remote and not come into the office for monthly visits to build culture etc.

Went well

Didn't get enough sleep so felt like shit and groggy all day so wasn't too productive

But I managed to schedule a meeting with Chevron so that was huge

Currently working on revamping the one pagers to make them more emotionally charged and less factual. Founding SDR Startup tings

Anyone have any good recommendations of designers or stylists to spruce it up? I got the copy in there but Im not Graphics designer.

That's it

Really love this place and hoping to get more sleep tonight but hard because partner is having sever separation anxiety and insomnia

happy Monday

Much love

The kid

Ah, Chevron. I have a funny story from Chevron.

Back, (way back), I was working a deal with Chevron, and we headed to their HQ in San Ramon. Their lobby had a revolving door, which would allow exactly one person through at a time, if you badged in. The receptionist gives each of us a visitor's badge, and invites us all to go through the door to head to our meeting, in a conference room. I badge through and am going through the door and turn just in time to see my manager, an awesome guy, get stuck in the door, which reverses, and spits him back out. He had forgotten to use his badge, and had just followed me through, and the door rejected him. The funny part was the look on his face as his hands go up, palms up, on the glass door, like a bit of a splat, and a heeeelllllppp. We all died a little from laughing. Great manager, and yes, won the deal. But I will always smile!

This is hilarious. One can never go wrong with a story involving a revolving door.

It was one of my most fun presentations as a young rep. Probably because I was in a great mood after that, and it was a light environment with a receptive group, happy not to see gloomy reps. :)

Your manager seems awesome! Its rare to see that given the huge push for return to the office the last couple months.

He really is actually. Super thankful. Maybe my luck is actually turning around. Ironically enough he has never been a manager just a IC

Iโ€™ve helped out with one pagers myself and it shows willingness on your end, which is appreciated. Wish I could help and glad you have a good perspective on your priorities: SOs come first. I know I repeat this a lot in replies to you but IMO it bears repeating: work isnโ€™t always first, loved ones always should be

good ass vibes i love it. glad to hear the solo job (lol) is going well ๐Ÿ˜ค

no sleep is a fucking killer, my grandpa was a night owl, my dad is a night owl, so i used to loooooove staying up all night. 9 years old setting my alarm to 5am so i could turn on the family computer and play everquest before school. idk what that has to do w anything but SLEEP will set you free.

cop up on some melatonin or cvs brand sleep aid. no screens an hour before u try to pass out. stay hydrated. keep killing it G.
