Do you have an office?

I have a question for all you sales people that still work in the office. Do you have your own office with a closed door or do you sit in a large room with cubicles and everyone around you?

Dedicated home office.

Before that I was in a bullpen environment. Never had my own office before working from home.

Home office is in my living room, in the physical office it is an open floor plan with no assigned seating

I voted without reading lol - I’m 100% remote and there isn’t enough money for me to go back. That said I’m having a 160 is square foot office built in my back yard and I’m beyond pumped to get out of my dining room/office.

I too am in the dining room.  It's close to the coffee and I have an excellent view.

The office downstairs also has an excellent view, but was taken over in 2020 by my HS student who had to be remote for much of that year.  In that timespan, I settled in upstairs AND not one of my devices (laptop or phone) connects consistently in my own office.   Being too lazy to make the change back...here I am in the dining room.  :)

I’m technically in my breakfast room and have a solid view too - views are absolutely directly correlated to sanity. The main catalyst for an actual office is that my kids are 5 and 3 and can’t wrap their heads around the concept that dad is home and at work… I’ve lost count of how many meetings I’ve have to pause for the kiddos which isn’t a bad thing because they absolutely come first but my blood pressure has a hard time doing that math hahahaha.

My friend. I have struggled so hard with 9, 5, and 3 yo boys grasping the concept of “work.” “Dad you just make ppts and talk to people all day.” Makes my feelings combat whether being a shitty dad or shitty worker (that pays for our house) is winning the most immediate decision tree.
Obviously I always vote for being a shitty worker because family first: but clients don’t always see it that way. The pandemic was actually helpful because it made people chill tf out about kids and work.

Dude I feel this to my bones. I asked my daughter what I do for a living and she said “you talk to people on the phone all day and sometimes yell” lol. The pandemic had forced me to challenge my idea of “professionalism” and I’m to the point of not caring if my client is pressed or not that my kid is visible in the background etc. I’m a husband, father, a lot of other things, and AE in that order and if a customer/prospect/employer doesn’t respect that I don’t want their business or job…. It’s pretty blunt but my mental health and my family are absolutely worth a line in the sand.

Most days I'm working from my yacht with @funcoupons. We have interns and Italian hookers (female and male since we're the inclusive type of swingers) that bring us lobster and sashimi. I like to eat the sashimi off of her, and she has a thing for dipping the lobster in butter that she's drizzled over my fat belly. Most days are casual but others can get kind of wild, especially when we're plotting how we're going to invade third world countries.

My office these days between the living room and kitchen, but do have my own office when I'm in.

I've had both and it might be the psuedo frat boy in me but I love the bull pen...I'm also ADD so the 4 conversations at all times might just be my speed.

If let to my own devices in a personal office I have a tendency to not grind as hard. When my internal motivation drops here and there I like supplementing it with the idea that people are watching and keeping up/beating those around me.
