Follower Count on Social Media

I saw post where someone was talking about how many followers they had lost after a controversial post (it was selfie). Other than when it's right in front of my face, I never check or know this info. Is anyone else tracking this and why?


Part 2: I block people all the time, including former employers. Apparently, this is "immature". Anyone else a fan of the block button?

the only people who care about that stuff are either 13, or have the same maturity level as a 13 year old. I have too much actual stuff going on to have the time or interest to give a shit

Don't really care. And I've never blocked anyone**, but I've definitely unfollowed.

** aside from some juiced up gym bro coming at me about masks and vaccines in my private messages. Had a bit of fun, but that quickly faded as a battle of wits is no fun when your opponent is unarmed, so blocked him after maybe the fifth time he wanted to fight me.

Side note: roidheads do NOT like being called cupcake.

Oh most definitely, but it was so funny. Kept threatening me, calling me girly, gay etc. It was just icing on the (cup)cake.

Had my fun and moved on.

even people who make money on social media probably dont care about followers as much as they care about engagement. 

idk the last time I had to use the block button on any social platform.

I only use it for relatives. And yes, I block people all the time... mostly it's annoying a-holes I used to work with who all of a sudden want to keep up with me after I retired.
