Getting Paid in Crypto

I got hit up by a recruiter Thursday, and the dude says "We pay in cash or crypto, whatever tickles your fancy."

Now, whilst I usually would take the most issue with someone in a sales-like role using the phrase "tickles your fancy," the main thing I settled on was "get paid in crypto."

My take is that getting paid in crypto is one of th dumbest God dam things you can do ever, short of send a dick pic to your RVP.

Pulse check: who agrees or disagrees with me (and you can address the dick pic thing too if it tickles your fancy)

Crypto won’t pay my bills. Until the power company, landlord, cell service, and bank i make my car payment to, or store I buy my groceries at take crypto, getting paid in it is worthless to me.

Getting paid a dollar amount in crypto is pointless. You may as well take it in dollars and buy crypto if you want. You're really only paid in crypto if your salary is given in that currency and not tied to dollars, but that's a lose-lose. Either the price drops and you leave your job because the pay got cut, or the price goes way up and you likely get laid off or forced into a new contract because you've become too expensive.
