I guess this had been asked before, but what is the best way to start on this community?

Really varies similar to what @Diablo. On what you are looking to gain. Highly recommend scrolling through the "Hot" Feed to understand the vibe. Also recommend looking through the Academy since there is a lot of great content there.

I would either use the search box to look up what type of information you are looking for or share what you know, what has worked for you what hasnt worked for you, etc

Definitely get a feel for the vibe by checking up on some posts. Absolutely contribute to conversations and add your expertise. If asking a question, details and context are helpful. Don’t ask shallow questions just to get commission. That just brings the whole place down.

Welcome!

Thanks for the advise. I agree that we will the ones that can build a strong or weak community. I believe our profession needs to grow up. I have not digging in into the commissions yet.

Well, they are fun, and a good incentive. We have had a decent number of scammers, though, and keeping garbage out of the WR is an ongoing issue. Nothing wrong with having fun and the occasional goofy post, but there’s definitely been some limit testing. Moderation helps a lot (thanks Gasty!) but we are also responsible for maintaining a forum we want to be part of. That said, I have the sense you’ll be just fine. Can’t wait to see your thoughts and advice!

Agree! My first few times in here were just nerding out on content. Great stuff to explore.

Engage with the content already in here, share your win stories (real ones) and try getting the value out of the existing content.

Once you know your niche, you can start sharing your own stories + wins and losses + Learnings. :)
