Linkedin influencers have always been bad but lately it's been on another level.

Some guy bragged about how a stranger picked him out of a crowd in a big city just to say they recognized him and his content changed this stranger's career. Brother, seriously?

If I didn’t enjoy satirical humor I would never go on LinkedIn. I just pretend everyone is acting and trying to be funny in an ironic way about corporate being toxic but they are so over the top that it is written to not be a joke… it works most of the time

It's just the worst of both fucking worlds. At least Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, etc. you get the entertainment of the crazies bashing their inbred heads against a wall in a vacuum-sealed idiot brigaded echo chamber.
With LinkedIn, people are on 'professional' behaviour, so never actually share what the fuck they think; which makes the network so incredibly fucking dull, with people posting non-stop chatGPT bullshit life advice.
I've dreamed of going rogue on it, and posting what I truly think, eg. "I'm excited to announce I've accepted a new role as a Senior Account Manager at x. I truly despise the work that I do, and solely do this for the commissions and paycheck that hit my bank account every two weeks. My manager is untrained and condescending, and we routinely rip our customers off! Follow along for this step in my development journey!".
