Peloton laid off 2800 people today, Cue the Dan price linkedin post in 3..2..1..

It always sucks seeing a company laying people off for missed revenue or to help on the P/L report and boost the stock.

That said, blowhards like Dan Price make it a thousand times worse. It's almost like he looks forward to it as an opportunity to give an F/U to every for profit business out there and use it for his own personal brand growth. Just my 2 cents but this guy sucks

I have an old colleague who works for him, for what it's worth he does typically stand behind what he says, general consensus is that people like him. he's just such a blowhard.

Price is problematic in a number of ways.

That said, he is right about the heinous levels of executive comp, stock buybacks & the fact that profitability isn't the goal...it's never ending profit growth - which leads to mass layoffs when companies are profitable.

He's not a good person though, and only right about this 1 thing.
