Ponzi scheme

Hi hi

I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful Christmas with the people they love!

I want to make this post about pyramid scams since in my country the growth and birth of new scams are ridiculous and it has reached perfection since it is even international (a few years ago I lost a lot of money with Stanford bank). So I would like to know your stories and professionally why you think it is so easy to sell this scam. Because even when people warn them, they continue to enter and enter.

For what calls my attention to know the opinion of the WR, why is it so simple, striking, and easy to sell?

It may be, but many brilliant people still fall for scams. It is almost certain that we all got scammed even a couple of times.

Ahh yes. Being vague to try and clear up your vagueness. Good job.

WHAT SCAMS ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? as in what companies or which products or services. Anything can fall under "ponzi" or "pyramid" Hell, every single one of our jobs is a pyramid scheme tbh. The dude at the top makes all of the money.

So please, be more specific.

Con man = confidence man. If you sound like you know what you are doing, people will tend to trust you.

Like, whats the likelihood that you follow the advice of someone who claims to be in sales on an anonymous forum? Oh waitโ€ฆ

That's what one thinks, but I'll give you this particular case, a friend, I told him it was a pyramid scam, I told him and I proved to him that it was, he knew it! He told me, yes I know, but while it lasts I can get good money and I'll still go in...

most schemes promote a get rich quick approach, that is very simple to understand, and makes SOME sense.

ppl are addicted to the get rich/"passive income" story. so they buy in.

true! But what is interesting is that it is very normal for people to relapse, it seems unusual to me, 1 time, ok I understand... but 15?

It's great that you are trying to raise awareness about pyramid schemes and scams. These types of scams can be very harmful, both financially and emotionally, for the people who fall for them.

One reason why pyramid schemes and scams can be so effective is that they often prey on people's desire to make quick and easy money. These schemes often promise high returns with little or no effort, which can be very appealing to people who are struggling financially or who are looking for a way to make extra money.

Another reason why these schemes can be successful is that they often rely on social pressure and peer influence. The people who are running the scheme will often try to get their friends and family members to join, creating a sense of urgency and making it difficult for people to say no.

I didn't take that last point into account, but yes! The social pressure from the people you love can be terrible, I also think it can affect the feeling of... and if not? I mean, do you know that something is wrong, that it's possibly a 99% scam, and then a question comes to mind, and if it isn't? and I'm losing the opportunity to earn good money?

I had a girl in college invite me to a group meeting that ended up being a recruitment drive for a ponzi scheme. She told me it was a "great opportunity," and seeing as I had just taken her to her sorority's barn dance, I decided to come.

Once the dudebro came in and started spouting off about how in his first six months he could afford his brand new BMW parked outside (conveniently out of sight), I turned to that girl and whispered in her ear "sorry, I don't think this is for me" and I walked out of the room.

Unfortunately, one of my other fraternity brothers ended up buying a significant amount of inventory of "Verve" energy drinks and tried to get others in the frat involved. No one else did, and no one wanted to buy the absolute garbage energy drinks off of him. He ended up throwing all of this inventory in the trash after a few months and ending his involvement with the scheme (after we all told him it was a ponzi scheme, and he vehemently defended it)

I am a great believer that unfortunately one must crash with problems to understand and do catharsis, I assure you that your friend learned a couple of things that day about scams and listening to your friends

I think we all know that pyramid scam, but they not only sell you the idea of โ€‹โ€‹fast money, but also hope, many are financially strangled and living hell to survive. I think that's the worst part
