This was passed over to me in July when I joined the company. It's an independent catholic boys-only school based in Queensland, Australia. If anyone watches cricket, Matthew Hayden is an alumnus of this school.
They've been taking a pricing quote and ghosting us since a couple of years now. The champion here seemed to not have a backbone; copied me on an email with the Finance Controller, and that's the last I heard from him.
The Finance Controller copied the Deputy Principal on the email, and I did not hear back from her as well again. I had a really hard time with the unresponsiveness of the deputy principal - he hardly read any of my emails; nor picked any of my calls; nor watched any of the loom videos I sent him.
Had to make my way back to the Controller who I'm suspecting spoke to the deputy principal to respond back to me; which he finally did last week. Had a budget of 3000 AUD, our pricing was around 4000 AUD. So I convinced him to sign a 2-year contract with yearly payments of around 3000 AUD which he was comfortable with.
That's it. That's all I did here. Maintained engagement, did my follow-ups, did not lose hope on not getting a response for 3 months, and drove this one home. Didn't have to jump on a single discovery/demo since the spineless champion had already done all of that in-house.
