I walked into this, but was able to get it closed despite some headwinds regarding what the previous guy had sold them. Long story short, it wasn't a direct lie, but we definately didn't have the functionality that he said we did.
Overcame the trust fall out and collected for the consulting on what they wanted to accomplish instead of how they persribed they needed to get there.
Always like at the reason behind the need, and you might be able to solve the real problem instead of what they're telling you.
