I'm unsure what a good salary and OTE is for a director of sales development is. Is $225k OTE too high to ask for?

Pretty sure this varies tremendously by industry, but I have personally seen people make about that, and also some make significantly less. I would look up your top 5 competitors on RepVue and see what they pay

From my limited knowledge, your ask seems reasonable-ish. A little high for a startup in Phoenix, but it's better to start a bit higher than a bit lower.
