This deal took around 2 months to close. It started with a prospecting call that landed at the perfect time. The customer was working on a project and had just gotten a quote from a competitor that they thought was a bit expensive and they were unsure it was correct. After reviewing the competitors quote it seems the competitor miss-quoted the project and I was able to steal the job because of this.
Overall there was a lot of luck with the timing of my call but after this project closed they have reached out with two more projects and stated they would rather work with us instead of our competitor.
For me this is a reminder that it is always better to keep checking in with prospects and reminding them you exist even if they use a competitor.
