At this company, the sales cycle for our Lead Generation service is short, 1 to 3 weeks max. This client was in inbound my company sourced from LinkedIn. He was very skeptical as he had had several bad experiences with lead generation, so I made sure not to apply much pressure to him. He started aiming for our smallest package of 25 households to play it safe but had mentioned interest in going for our most extensive package of 200, so I explained to him the importance of sample size when working with leads. He agreed and sized up to our middle package of 50. He had mentioned the most extensive package, so I knew I would need to be hands-on with hand to get him onto that package. I also gave my manager the heads up, and he made a note. Three days later, my manager sent me a message that morning that the client had been repeatedly clicking the link I sent him with details about our package of 200. I then saw it in my activity feed. I gave him a call and went into detail about the package. I also brought in an account manager to assure him he would have abundant contacts to maximize his potential and ROI. In 10 days, with the help of my fantastic team, I closed the most significant single revenue deal in company history with no promos—just conviction and belief in our company's product.
Edit: I should add that our package of 200 leads has only been available since June of this year, and this was the second sale of that package so far! The first sale was groundbreaking for the company but had heavy promos added.
