I really don't like Apple's brand lately.. I think they have gotten too big for their own good, but I can not argue that they make a superior product.

I've looked at androids and this again is personal opinion but they do not have the win on ease of use.

What's funny is when I ask the oddballs in my group why they have android it's some vague answer about ability to customize and do more things but I've never heard the specifics. I can't think of anything else I'd want to do on my phone, it does everything I need it to, quite well.

Love to hear people bash on Apple because of the cost... it's a friggen pocket computer that does a million things that you use all day everyday and a thousand bucks is some extreme figure?

Same people will go drop hundreds on their tab at the bar. (pre covid)

End rant.

I get the Apple hate, but I also really like something that just works all the time without me having to put more effort into it. I'm a bit of a nerd, but I don't have the time to add my phone to my list of things to tinker with and improve.

Android here. I like to be able to customise and control the environment a bit more. Also Apple is sometimes a bit too "closed" as an ecosystem. very slick and easy to use though (when they don't slow your old phone down).

I find there are more innovative hardware features in Android as the manufacturers compete against each other so often you see crazy stuff released earlier
