let me just take this moment to thank you all, this is the best tool I've been lucky enough to find, you're all legends 🫡 ♥️

So I got through to the third round today with a PaaS tech recruitment company that's awesome, and it's literally a fantastic move into an AE role ...

I had decided that if this fails I will focus on what I really want to do, which is help the world by selling some kind of SaaS product relating to carbon reduction or sustainability tech solution... I would get so much satisfaction out of this and doubt I would leave the industry ... so I would go out and find the company's I want to work at etc and start over with my search.

As soon as I ended the meeting, I checked my inbox and BAM 💥 there was the invite to a sick company that I love (all beit small company) asking me to interview for SDR .....

now I have to do that one and try to get two offers Ofcourse.

but the real question is? If I get both, which route do I take?

if I take the AE role, I may be able to move into the climate space as an AE after a couple years....

if I take the SDR, I could move up inside that company (hopefully) but obviously have a harder time at the beginning

what would Jesus do?????

I am thinking about making similar moves and have been considering taking a pay cut/moving down a peg to go to a company with a mission I can get behind.

At the end of the day it is up to you, but also consider- would it still pay the bills, would you be satisfied in your work, and does the company have a not-shitty culture.

Hi bb, +1 to the queen, in addition, do what you see yourself happy in. Financially & personally. sounds like the SDR move. You may be able to counter offer that SDR offer with the other offers for a more favorable pay/position. As well, be transparent w them about ur interview process and try to get a rush on the interviews so you can make the best decision for yourself

I would tell the second company that you are looking for AE roles are are currently interviewing for AE roles and see if they would consider you for that.

Also, I would take the AE role STILL!.

Getting to AE is really hard. if you can get that title you will be in a really solid spot.

If you take the AE role, and then after 1 year go back to the other company and ask about an AE roles there, it could work out.
