What's the dumbest thing you heard from another rep or client today

Hey all,

For my peeps in the partner space, I hear a lot of dumb shit from the egotistic sales reps I work with at a large cloud provider. Me & my coworkers joke about writing a book with 1. A section on the bitchy stuff the reps at this company say 2. A section on the stupid shit they say.

What's the dumbest thing you heard today? Mine is "I can't believe this tiny publishing company is happy with status quo in the cloud"

Used to sell software that monitored infrastructure devices. Part of it's functionality was scanning IP addresses in the organization to see what devices were connected to the network. People could download a trial from our website to try out, which generated a lead for us in the CRM. It was very much geared towards enterprise IT folks, but occasionally, we would get someone that downloaded it to test it in their home environment, troubleshoot their laptops, etc.
2 wild calls that come to mind.

1) A guy had downloaded the tool to try and track his girlfriend's phone, because he was convinced that she was cheating on him with her ex. Wanted to see if her phone location showed at her ex's house.

2) A lady downloaded the tool to find the nanobots in her blood. I figured it was a joke, but after I hung up, she kept calling into our general line, and would get routed to sales to ask for help getting these nanobots out of her body.

It wasn't the best tool in the market. It was difficult to sell that tool.
He got fired.
