Whats the dumbest shit your interning SDR has ever done?

SDR's are notoriously underqualified, underpaid, and lack confidence.

Leads to some dumb shit. from scheduling interns on your calendar, to mass blasting your top account with irrelevant emails that gets you blocked, to hopping on your calls and trying to introduce themselves.

Whats the dumbest thing they've done?

I personally have opted for the mass blast with a giftcard offer, scheduled hella meetings, none of them qualified, and it was a huge waste of marketing dollars and came off completely wrong to the rest of the prospects, huge success (not)

I don't know about dumb, just uninformed and unexperienced. Sending email blasts to people I am already working with, calling people I am near closing, etc. This is one of the few reasons to keep your CRM updated so at least you can rub their noses in it when they piss all over your carefully cultivated opportunities.

I feel like that's more of an issue with the CRM than it is the SDR. The CRM should be filtering out any contacts tied to an account that has an open opp so SDR's don't see them in their lead queue. That's how Salesforce is set up at my company at least

Haha thank you! I wanted to get more specific but (and maybe this is cheating because he's far from an intern) this guy has been an SDR with the company for 11 years, consistently sends hot garbage and then tries to tell me I'm doing a poor job by disqualifying a lead when the person I'm speaking to has no budget, authority, timeline or need. If someone is an SDR for 11 years and not promoted then they probably shouldn't have accepted the job in the 1st place. Every single AE that has worked with him has despised it.

Not so much an SDR intern, but a guy I was training for a sales position on my team.... Now - this story isn't so much work-related.... but this motha....

He flipped his car near my house on a suspended license. Left the scene, ran to my place and hung out as if nothing happened for like 20-minutes... At that point - I kicked him out, dude was weird, bruh.

Later that evening, I get a call from the local police saying that this sales rep's car was found abandoned, and flipped over. The owner said he was hanging out with me all day, and the car was stolen from my place.

First off - this guy didn't even tell me that I was his alibi...

Secondly - I wouldn't have agreed

Third - I told the cops he was sketchy as hell, and he probably did it because I only saw him for 15-minutes.

That dumbass took the cake for dumbest people I've met in my life.
