Banking? Podcasts?

Glad to answer any questions about banks. I also run a banking podcast if you have any questions in that area.

Do you think Banks will adopt blockchain technology?

Had the same question. Don't know why so many downvotes on this post. Maybe cuz its off-topic? In that case @PipeSmokingBanker, you might want to add off-topic tag to this thread.

Yeah this shouldn't be downvoted. Off topic could help along with the finance tag. I still upvoted 🤷‍♀️

Many of the bigger ones already have.  JPM Chase uses its for their large international “wires”.  (They’re not really wires if they’re blockchain, but I think you know what I mean.). And the Fed I know is looking into updating their wire service with blockchain.  I’ll bet you see it become more common soon.
that said, what does give me concern is crypto re: banks.  Like cannabis, banks are going to HAVE to get some guidance from regulators about it.  How can banks allocate capital against such a volatile asset?  At some point, it’ll get worked out but until then..🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m good but thanks.  Like I said in a previous reply.  I’m just here to help people who need to talk to bankers or who want to talk podcast marketing.

How to banks approach API procurement? Do they hire consultants to help them with that or?

Mostly consultants.  But, again, those consultants have to be careful.  The fintech world for community banks (4000+ nationwide so not a small market) is moving towards collaboration with banks.  Banks have seen through the BS of “we won’t steal your customer data” *wink wink*.  The value-add there is collaborating to improve their community

If you’ve been working in a sales role for a small saas company and are interested in working some kind of sales position at a large bank, what roles would you look for and what advice would you give?

So, getting into the banking side?  Depends on the area and the bank.  If it’s just basic banking, you’d be looking for something like Customer Service Rep...but make sure it’s in person.  If you can sell by relationship selling, you’ll move up quickly...but pick up some credit analysis when you get there.
