Today is an exciting day! My long-awaited copy of "To Sell Is Human" by Daniel Pink has arrived, courtesy of the Commish Store updates. I can't wait to dive into this book!
We've talked about starting a Book Club here, and with this fantastic addition to the commission store, I believe now is the perfect time to get things rolling. I propose that we begin by posting a weekly recap, covering a Part each time, and discussing actionable takeaways we can apply to our lives.
If you're wondering why you should read this book, I asked Sales GPT for its thoughts, and here's what it had to say:
"Based on the perspectives shared by Bravado members, reading 'To Sell is Human' could provide valuable insights and strategies to enhance your sales skills. The book delves into the human aspect of selling, which is considered crucial in our community discussions. It emphasizes the significance of empathy, understanding, and effective communication in sales. By reading it, you can improve your ability to navigate complex customer motivations and conversations. However, keep in mind that reading alone won't guarantee success in sales; it's also about effectively applying these learnings and adapting to each unique sales situation."
As for the timeline, I suggest we reconvene once a week to discuss each Part. With the book consisting of 3 Parts and approximately 230 pages, we should be able to complete it within a month. But, of course, I'd love to hear your feedback on the timeline.
With the first post being in two weeks giving everyone time to get it from this commish store/buy it and read the first Part.
Looking forward to this!
