In my experience, it varies by size of organization and sales cycle.ย 

The longer the sales cycle, the longer between commission checks. Additionally, if a company is public they're likely to pay quarterly to align with earnings.

Yeah definitely hear that. When I worked for smaller private companies it was mostly monthly. As I moved up the ladder it gets more stretched out lol
always chasing that cheque!

Laws changed a few years ago that made "withholding" commission illegal. So many companies moved to monthly payoutย

We have quarterly quotas and get paid quarterly...well 30 days after the quarter ends...it was 90, then 60 so now a month after quarter ends seems fast to me
