Commission store idea: Bravado Equity?

Happy Presidents' day my friends!

I've been enjoying my day off. Amidst my beers this afternoon I had a thought.

I recall reading a post that came up this week where someone mentioned how "anything is negotiable" (which was directed at always be willing to ask for more base salary - remember to always fight for what's fair); now that we have had the commission store refreshed it gave me an idea.

What if we had the option to exchange commission for very small amounts of equity in Bravado? No doubt Sahil has plans, which are years in the making.

We spend time adding to the forum, gaining commission, generating discussion. So why not be able to spend it to get real stake in where we spend our time?

This could be a higher ticket item like 5,000 - 10,000. Feel free to shoot my idea down, but I figured I'd stir the pot.

Very interesting.
Can't imagine a VC/Investor is going to be super jazzed to look at a company's outstanding equity and see that ~1,000s of people have 1-5 shares for example. Kinda messy.
Maybe you can try and get that wine tasting with Sahil and just ask him for equity after a few glasses?

sounds like a good idea but it's not. Too many shareholders in a small org doe snot really work (mostly for exit opps). However, this can be solved by drag along clauses etc

Interesting Idea, I wouldn't really want to pay taxes for buying equity though and don't really have the inside view to Bravado, although that never really helps anyway. Also the amount of people in the war room seems like this is something that likely is not a possibility.
