Companies hiring?

Hey Savages,

Does anyone have any leads on companies hiring?

I was laid off about 6 months ago, I decided to fight as I'm a boxer and started a marketing business as well.

I fought and won, also gained a few clients but my income is not matching up my expenses.

Now, I'm again looking for a role as an SDR or Junior AE.

Any leads on who might be hiring?

Check Gasty's "who's hiring" posts. He posts regularly. Maybe there will be something juicy there for you.
Congratulations on your victories!

Check these posts out. Should be an easy search. I also recommend hitting up your network.

Agreed. A little LI search, application, and reach out never hurts either.

Good luck @champchamp !!

There’s a lot of us in this same boat, just gotta do your research. We don’t really have any context about your industry/or experience. Part of being a good AE is being good at digging up stuff. Congrats on the boxing wins - weight class?

The advice here aren't very actionable nor helpful
1) Go check in LinkedIn for the following entry lvl job titles: Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative, Inside sales
2) Go on repvue and check reference the sales orgs. A good rule of thumb is this: DO NOT APPLY to organizations with a score below 81.
By now that you've identified orgs with immediate need for headcount, and vetted they're not complete clowns
3) Cold approach any employee & proceed to ask for referral and skip the line.
🐲: "Hi John, my name is [First Name] and I am currently in the process of interviewing for [SDR/AE] with [Company]. Saw you are currently in that role yourself and wanted to see if you had 5-10 minutes today or tomorrow for a quick phone call to chat about the role and your experience. Would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks[Name]"
*pro tip: research university alumni that are working in sales using linkedin filters. They will see themselves in you and are more likely to help.
4) Build relationship, and keep it light:
🐲: How did you get in sales? I find there is always a good story behind that! 🐲: Are you looking to develop into an IC or sales manager? **Whatever they answer, follow up with a "ME TOO! how are you planning to approach this and build your case?" 🐲: How rigid is the corporate ladder? 🐲: Do you feel quota are attainable if one puts in the work?

towards the end of the call, proceed to ask for a referral or an intro to the hiring manager.
5) Get ready to interview. Good news! The Q&A are always the same and there is ZERO reason not to prepare in advance:

We're in the middle of the largest recruitment window of the year. There is tons of opportunity to go after.
Good luck and DM if you have questions! You got this
