I wanted to share one of my favorite wins from December, as the last few weeks were a roller coaster and Christmas cookie bender (shoutout to my grandma!).
I'd been working this deal since August. It's a group out of Dubai. I don't work many international deals but for a few reasons this ended up in my lap. It started slow with general discussion around their current processes, and after 4 meetings I was finally able to get to the COO. The biggest pain he was feeling was around the way teams adapt across their multiple regions and countries, and my platform played into the space that would potentially solve this.
We do POC's half the time with groups, and due to the scale of this one, a POC was warranted. We managed to determine some solid metrics to measure, and with my mutual action plan we came up with dates that made sense for them.
So guys.. the POC went FLAWLESSLY. We blew the metrics out of the water, and showed that we could solve the business problem. And this business problem was a 6-figure annual loss if they couldn't.
What I wanted to share about his was, it was supposed to close in late October, but due to holidays, traveling, and ONE miscommunicated step (I didn't determine that they had two completely separate people who would need to approve the signature over the COO), it all pushed to a December close.
The holidays can be tough on our pipelines, so this is a strong reminder of why we use mutual action plans. I want to avoid any potential landmines and speed bumps.
Looking forward to an awesome 2023. Keep up the S.A.D.N.E.S.S.!
