I worked at a fraud mitigation start-up for a spell. If there's money to be made, bad guys will try.
Have to tip the equation so it's not worth their time.
If all new accounts are in a quarantine period it's a hassle for bad guys.
If they have to legitimately contribute to the community before they can share a link it's a huge impediment.

Boring posts about crypto crap. The kind of thing that is all over unattended pages and posts in other places. The kind of thing that gets swept out with the trash here. :)
Do you view this as "let's just not allow links"? Or more of a "let's have each post get approved"?
