Crushed it. Got the offer. Accepted said offer. Nearly DOUBLED my base and if I hit OTE it will change everything. Great stock options and benefits as well. (F500 company) For an AE role.
This has been a crazy year. Fiancé and I are excepting our first child in a VHCOL area. She is self employed and has no maternity benefits. I didn't know how we were going to stay afloat. There was so much riding on this offer. I am elated. The timing is divinely orchestrated. The best Christmas gift possible.
Just put in my notice at current company today after all my onboarding documents and background checked out yesterday.
I start Jan. 2nd.
Just wanted to give everyone an update and say how much I appreciate all the good vibes and well wishes.
If you are struggling, don't give up. I have been grinding my sales job while also working at a bar downtown at nights to keep the lights on. I didn't know HOW I just knew it WOULD work out.
Not that long ago I was waiting tables full time trying to break into tech sales.
In less than a year I went from untested BDR to AE with a massive company.
To quote the great movie with the late and great Heath Ledger, A Knights Tale (childhood favorite): "Can it be done father? Can a man change his stars?" .."Yes William, if he believes enough, he can do anything."
