I was kept in the dark about what the reason is, I just got told they don’t think I’d be a good fit
It might be anecdotal, but a similar thing happened to a friend of mine. Got offered a role, he put in his two weeks and moves to the other side of the city for the new job.
The day after he started, the company let him go with no real reason. He got a lawyer, took them to court and they had to continue to pay him a year's worth of wages, to make up for lost income from quitting his old job.
It might be worth a conversation if there was truly no reason to let you go.

I was a part of layoffs in 2022. A few co-workers were hired within the prior 2 weeks. Terrible situation.
Is this a funded company?
My guess is they got a big Seed/Series A investment, hired way too many people too quickly and the equity suit and tie folk came in to clean house.

Yeah similar thing happened in 2022 with the company I was at. First round of layoffs hit and 3 of the 5 who were laid off had only been there 6 weeks or so. Literally had just made it out of onboarding and training and were only beginning to hit the phones and run their own demos. Felt terrible for them. Until the second round of layoffs hit two months later and I felt terrible for myself.
When you think it can't get any more ridiculous. You get a "why?" with that?
Sounds like the person they wanted to hired turned them down and then came back.
How good could have that other person be? To waste the time/money/resources for a week to let the new person go and hire the other first choice?

I got let go 2.5 weeks in, they 4x the sales team over 3 months and sales didnt go up and they got rid of everyone they hired during that period. I just was in the last class to get hired and got done with training a day before.

From what little you’ve shared, which absolutely sucks (I’m sorry), they just arbitrarily decided against employing you.
Either you weren’t picking up the training well or the hiring manager figured out very quickly that you don’t gel with them well.
Or if this is a seed or series A company then they simply don’t have their shit together

1 week is insane if you didn't pull a major HR violation. That said I was at an org for 2 months last year and then got the axe and severance and found a new role. tech is picking up right now, you should be able to find something through all the noise

A small absolute shit company called Brandlive in Portland has done this many times to people. Some companies are just trash and always will be. Hang in there, you’ll find better!

Be honest SaaS kid; did you do anything that might of made them thought it was a huge red flag? If not, sounds like they weren't ready to hire someone. Sorry this happened to you man, hope you get something soon!
I’ve been let go twice by the same company. It’s incredibly frustrating and stressful, but at the end of the day, I’m grateful to not work for chucklefucks. Don’t even put this company on your LI or resume.
