Sometimes the large deals are easier/faster than the smaller ones and this definitely rang true on this one. Total deal time was ~3 months open to close.
I had this account transferred to me after no one had touched it for years. Got a hold of an old contact, who was NOT happy to hear from my company after a rough previous experience. Ended up scheduling a call to talk about his departments current tools, goals, growth plans, etc. Initially was only booked for 30 minutes, but ended up being a 2 hour call as we went back and forth hearing his current hurdles and offering solutions.
Ended up mapping out a new deployment of tools, which totaled out to a bit over $400k. Found out that he has a budget of 350k. Ended up offering a 350k out-the-door price in exchange for a PO before week's end. He looped in his Finance/Procurement team and streamlined a PO to the partner and got everything processed in time.
