Need Advice

I've been at my company for just under a year. I started out as a BDR, got promoted to Sr. BDR and now am preparing for yet another promotion to an AE.

Was told to have a 30/60/90 day plan ready but this would have to be different than if I was an external hire who's new to the co.

Advice on what to include?

In all seriousness - go to ChatGPT and have it write you up a 30/60/90 day plan.

I did it just for fun when it was released and I was amazed at how good it was.

Alternatively I would just google 30/60/90 day sales plan. There’s hundreds out there which walk the line between vague and specific very well.

Alternately, do you have an AE colleague who has a good one to share with you?

30 days - how will you transition?

60 days - how have you expedited you onboarding to become a producer.

90 days - what results do you expect to see, and what’s stage 2 to keep the momentum going

I did. Too broad and most of the templates / info out there is for AEs joining a new company. I’m referring to an internal promotion which changes things a bit.

well this 30/60/90 day plan has to be revolving around how I aim to close business / hit ramped quota. So I guess any advice on what to focus on there would be helpful

I don't think an internal promotion changes things all that much.
You'll need to fill knowledge gaps, identify top prospects, and then pursue and close business.

jesus i hate this shit.

Hey BDR who has never been an AE, tell me exactly what you would do in a job youve NEVER had. so annoying!
i would go to your AE friends internally and ask them what their 30/60/90 days were like

Talk to a current AE and see if they created one and build it together

Welcome to the war room @salesman32!

It seems you're looking for an answer which would sound impressive to your new manager.

Though there's nothing wrong with it, would you really want to present a 30/60/90-day plan that sounds awesome on paper, but you're unable to abide by it?

Though this 30/60/90 question has been over-abused by recruiters and hiring managers now, it remains to be an excellent question to pre-write your own version or definition of success in the new role.

If you're just looking for ideas, I think @Pachacutiis right - ChatGPT is a great tool to get some. But try not to CtrlC/CtlrV the entire thing. You'd want to write your own version of it.

Once you have it written and articulated, maybe share it here and we can give you some constructive feedback.

Bad idea?

Great idea and will definitely do that after I create it. Used ChatGPT for exactly that, just getting a framework.

Can't hurt to ask another AE that went from SDR -> AE what their journey looked like and if another hasn't done it ask an AE what their 30 -> 60 -> 90 looked like
