Need insight on Tableau Company

Hello guys ! 

I started the interview process with Tableau (sfdc company) for an AE role. But giving the recent Salesforce news I was wondering if you have any insights / comments regarding the sales organisations 🙏🏻🤞🏻

i have heard good things about Tableau but only from people that I do not know personally.

I think the product is good. Specially for companies that are data driven (that's mostly every company now). So their market would be huge as well, my best guess. Never talked to a tableau AE, but did my research few months ago on this front.

Benioff publicly shaming new employees for being less productive - you're about to join that cohort. During mass layoffs i've seen sales people are usually stack ranked or its a last in (recent hired) are the first out - typically because they havent trained etc and its cheaper to just cut you.

SFDC is massive and theres plenty of great roles in the org I'm sure, but you need to know exactly what territory or your book of business is going to be (and how it performed last 2-3 years) before risking it IMO

Biggest competitor would be Power BI (Microsoft), which they're able to give away for free for customers on thier enterprise licences agreements.

It’s a great company, great people, awesome product. Not sure about the present landscape but I have a friend in the engineering team and he only speaks good things.
