NINTENDO VS PC VS PLAYSTATION

Normally I don't post this type of post, but after the pandemic I realized that I need to disconnect from work a bit to refresh my mind and be able to get better results.

That's why I'm thinking about which console to buy.

As a big fan of Zelda, nintendo catches my attention, but normally they are somewhat childish games...

Play will always be a good option but I don't know if it really meets my expectations.

PC for me one of the best options since with emulators I would have the games I want, most of them free and I am a big fan of MMORPGs.

Which console would you buy and why?

It's just a fun as hell system to play.. PC games need a serious machine that has to be upgraded as time goes on. I love FPS games, but got the Switch to do multiplayer with my wife.

For my purposes? 9/10.

I don't have the time to invest into games where there's a really steep learning curve.

Most Switch games are fun right out of the box. I'm a sucker for Smash Bros. and MarioKart.

Blow it up
PC for me but its becoming increasingly hard to keep an up-to-date rig and find the time to play with 2 kids at home.

I got an Oculus Quest 2 for father's day and have been using that a lot lately when I have the time.

I also used to love Google Stadia for gaming on the road but sadly it is shutting down.

Its shutting down in Jan, but they are refunding everything.

Too bad though because it worked great for me on the road. Play on the company laptop via a web portal, or phone/tablet with the app. It was awesome.

I think that what they lacked was more publicity, in LATAM hardly anyone knew what it was or why it worked, much less that it was already active

If you like nintendo games the most i would do that. Doesnt matter if you played them when you were younger, if you enjoy I would lean that way.

Plus you can get the switch with commission points here!

Well, PC is an ideal platform, but to play the titles that have been coming out for about six years now, you need good components.

Xbox is currently a good gaming platform because of its gamepass, you only pay a subscription and you can play any game that is in its catalog, it is a great saving.

Play station has a comparative advantage at the level of exclusives, amazing games that you can only play on their platform, in a few days they will launch GOW ragnarok and it looks amazing.

Nintendo has the classic sagas, also exclusively.

Yes, but I also like the PC because, thanks to emulators, what used to be exclusive to one platform is no longer exclusive

Nintendo acquired some licenses to "convert" games to the platform, a great example is Crash Bandicoot. One of my personal favorites tbh. But yeah - Nintendo will milk 'till the end of times franchises like Pokemon, Zelda and Mario.

For console, Xbox for sure.

PC has a high fps and better graphics, so it attracts more due to that reason. But, you need to have more money to sustain a decent level of quality. Most will pay the 500 for the console vs $2000 for an ok gaming pc set up.

Right - the first Xbox was a gift. My son has steadily upgraded and is on Xbox #3.

It has an added benefit of operating as a DVD player because we still have a boatload of those in movie format, and the Xbox is on our biggest, best TV.

My dude would be the one to ask about the Xbox, but he definitely uses it to decompress.

I recommend that more than thinking about the graphics that they offer you, think about the games that you would like to play.I have always preferred Playstation (I bought all their consoles), I prefer to finish the stories, there are people who like the multiplayer mode better.

Switch and PC for me.
I grew up with Nintendo, so it definitely still has a little somethingspecial for me. I also recently bought a new PC and for the first time this year I was able to enjoy game in Ultra setting, definitely worth it, but again, I don't consider my self a hardcore gamer.

So if I have to choose one, I'll got with a switch. Find it easier to just pick it up, play a bit then put it back. PC/Playstation games tend to be more involved and I don't have that time anymore

I was a huge WoW fan and have wanted to play on Ultra setting (that or StarCraft) but haven’t had the computer to do it. Mind sharing how much yours was to get that ultra level without the computer blowing up?
