I had to lie on my very first resume when I was in college. I needed a good paying stable job that also had some flexibility with my full time class schedule. I wanted to land a part time clerical job. I had all the skills & knowledge to do the job description plus do it well but they were looking me over since i had one daycare job before that I did in high school. No professional experience at all. I lied about a job completely. No wrong or right in my eyes. I got the job & worked there for several years while finishing my BA degree which in turn gave me the real job experience I could add to my resume. I wouldn't do it now. I don't regret it. It gave me a great advantage to getting that experience & work ethic. I paid for my college myself without student loans or help from my parents.
