Resume review.. would love some feedback :)

hey WR members!

I recently posted about being laid off and HUNTING and you all we're great - so appreciate it. I've seen a few others do this so hope this is an OK ask.. I've posted an ANON version of my resume below... any feedback is welcome! One thing to keep in mind where I struggle is I've never missed quota - however, in my most recent role - there were 2 Q's where I missed so I didn't include numbers & struggled a bit as to what to include(pretty much whole team did which is apart of why the company has done 2 layoffs recently).. if I've left out any information in this post to provide clarity - feel free to tell me (still learning all the rules here! )

*I'm also looking on things like UpWork to hire someone who specializes in SaaS AE resume reviews/improvements - if anyone has anyone they've used in the past or can pass along any recommendations - I would appreciate it :)

Thank you in advance!!

(1) Typical rule is 1 page per 10 years experience.
(2) Take advantage of your Summary to list out 3-4 primary accomplishments, even if they are repeats of what you have below.
(3) Get rid of "references available..." its implied.
(4) Lots of jobs in 4 years. You may want to consolidate and list jobs by Year, not Month/Year.
(5) Limit bullets to 3-4 per job. People won't read more.
(6) Get rid of "fluff" bullets. People only want to read what you can do for them
(7) Be more specific in your accomplishments. Instead of say "Exceeded Quota" say "Achieved 1xx% of assign quota" or "sold $1m base on quota of $500k".

Great call outs - thank you!!!! Any guidance on how to go about the fact that recent Q's have been misses?

Don't mention them ;)

or, find other stats (e.g. increased average order size, decreased time to close, etc.)

@wildwhale Your resume is what YOU make of it. Don't lie, but you don't have to tell anyone the entire truth. So for the Quarters you didn't make quota - so what? Don't put them down. But be specific on your actual accomplishments, which is what people will want to read.

some great advice right here. Tbh I would never go over 1.5 pages. Even if you have >20y experience

Pachacuti did the job perfectly to be fair. He is a great guy here. This is just *personal opinion* but, how about formatting slightly differently? Mine is a 1 pager, split down the middle with 3 bullet points per job. It just looks nicer to the eye, in my case. Maybe its non-sense but im just throwing my 2 cents for you to maybe try it out and see if you like it. As I said, Mr Pachacuti covered it more than well so, do that and you will be golden!

First glance, you've got no exec summary. That should be loaded with keywords that highlight your strengths... even if you've got to make them up.

Account Executive - Mid enterprise
- Too long. One page can work brilliant. You can use some free resume formats by Novo resume or any other similar tool
- Too verbose. Nobody (a recruiter or a recruiting manager) would not have so much time to go through these lines
- Talk in more numbers, less words
- The Senior Account Executive lacks numbers. The pointers can also be compressed to become 2 points max
- Skillset should be another tab to the right if you want to highlight your skills, learnings, achievements that would make you stand out
- Outbound BDR could be more numbers for sure. How much pipe did you generate?
- Any awards or recognition would be great to add
A picture - I know most won't prefer, I do.

Thanks everyone for their comments - Iโ€™ve already fixed up my resume with all of this and in my opinion itโ€™s a lot better. Iโ€™m meeting with a resume writer this afternoon to help tweak it - if anyoneโ€™s interested - Iโ€™m happy to post what the results of it are if itโ€™s helpful to anyone else working on their resume!
