SFDC Migration Horror Stories?

Who's been through Salesforce migrations in the past? Any horror stories?
I'll start:
Old company "reinvigorated" their processes, including revamping SFDC. They insisted on completing everything in house with no outside help. Turned to a total shitshow within 1 week of go-live date, with all sales staff essentially being forced to do data entry since ~70% of data was corrupted... Needless to say, I jumped ship. Spoke to a rep there today and they still haven't recovered from the "reinvigoration" 🤦‍♂️

Yes. All SFDC operations involve sleep demons and visions of a sweaty Marc Benioff that appears only when you think you're in the clear.

The worst Salesforce migration process we have had is that our sales ops team tries to make us use hot garbage Lightning on a daily basis. I revolt and use Classic, obviously.

We have 4 different instances of SF running right now. It is a hot mess.

I’m an AE at Salesforce I can’t begin to tell you the horror stories of people self implementing (those that don’t have the in-house developers, at least). Luckily the clients I work with understand the value so I don’t have to go through the painful process of them doing things themselves. Then again I’ve also heard horror stories using implementation parters so 🤷🏼‍♂️

We did this in the past but no horror stories as such. This is bad.

I’ve heard plenty for sure! I’ve been speaking to folks at this company where they’re transitioning from fresh sales to Salesforce since last December and they seem to be getting close to being broadly done next month. Haven’t personally been a part of this process though, fortunately, lol!

No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
Old company transferred to Salesforce form Zendesk but didn't include the actual sales reps in the process.

Solely run by the Head of Strategy who was a consultant who thought he understood sales after reading three books.

Fucking dumpster fire.
