Took 2 months for this service deal to close. This came from just an initial roadmap call to understand the plans for the tool moving forward. They where looking to do an upgrade on their own for free. But with a stroke of luck for us, we had some help from the current solution they where using of ours breaking. Bad way to get a deal, but it broke because they did not let us install the tool many moons ago in the first place. This is what happens when you cut corners, you can end up cutting a hole in your wallet as well. We came to the rescue with ProServices to help them regain structure of the environment for a 3 month service engagement and SOW. With the tool crashing and the account then firing 3 of there admins they needed the tool to be back up and running and then upgraded since the admins who knew the tool best where let go.
They are migrating away from us as the tool no longer can produce for the amount of volume they use. However, we have at least 6-7 more service opportunities next year to help them migrate away and onto a competitor system. I guess the one positive to losing an account is to get as much revenue as you can on their way out the door while still helping the client preform day to day without down time. Everyone wins.
