I thought this community lifted each other up. Why are you getting so heated over a social post that has validity even though it doesn't make sense? Instead of calling him a shitty Sales Rep, you could teach him the differences and the things that you, that he doesn't. Everyone else is asking for more information to HELP him, while you're tearing him down for asking an oddball question. If this is how you treat people asking for help, I wouldn't want to be one of your clients. :(

I know about the military industrial complex and the wedding industrial complex, but this is new to me.
I google it and the only thing that came up was on tweet and a podcast episode by the same guy, you might need to lay out some more information for us.

For those wondering where to begin, slam a few beers. Go down some rabbit holes on the interwebs. Learn about the SDR/AE journey and how it’s changed, about VC/PE, quotas, financial markets, technology complexity, compensation, Etc. Some people see an overall industrial complex. I’m still piecing it together. bleh

My thinking is that one would have to start at the micro, learn how those things affect the macro, then observe how those changed over time. (Speaking in generalities right now of course.)
