Oh course. I had one that I worked on for almost a year until it finally closed. The original size got doubled post presenting to their head of product with a close date of end of Q2. The weeks before come, and the economic buyer is nowhere to be found. Turns out he has a heart attack and the deal will push. I think โ€œfine, we will close in Q3, not a big deal. Iโ€™m at almost 200% of the annual plan anyway.โ€ We had a couple more meetings with various people on the team, and requests for more info. Sounds like they want to expand the scope, which is great. What isnโ€™t great is that the incumbent shit the bead on one of the features and thatโ€™s why they are asking. Full panic mode. The customer is still having issues through the end of Q3, and it is pushed again. Now, there are requests for a pilot instead and an out clause if things donโ€™t work. We go back and forth for most of Q4. It looks like we are going to lose it, and then I get a call on the last week of the year. โ€œWe have sign off, get us the quote to sign .โ€ Get everything done and signed off on Dec 30th. Got the commission for it 2 weeks later. Good times.

You just have to stay with the deal, keep answering and more the ball down field.
