War Room Wins

Love the new war room wins add on- what about the losses though? I feel there is a lot same if not more learnings from the losses than the wins.

My team lost a $200k deal yesterday.

Problem was my rep was over assuming that the product fit their needs. Listened to hot buttons said by prospect but kept going on his path vs the customers. I did attempt to save the deal but we were too far gone at that point. Listen to your customer, what is in it for them. It is fine to research, strategize and have a close plan. BUT if the prospect shows you a pain point and an open wound, open that shit up, pour some lemon and salt in it and expose that shit. There is a new path now, go down it.

A "loss" wire is something we talked about in the town hall yesterday. Definitely could be valuable to share losses, but a specific feature dedicated to it would be much farther down the roadmap behind some really cool features on the way (and the app y'all found early lol). I would say for now, keep making them as posts just like you did.

Definitely valuable to share losses, there are some great learning experiences.

To your post, I definitely think it is a common issue I see with reps. They get tunnel vision, and fail to continue to do more discovery. They may have found the initial pain, but there could have been a SIGNIFICANTLY larger deal to be won had they continued to dig in to the root causes of the customers pain.

Yo! Been a while haha. Yeah you definitely need to make it to a town hall, we just talk about features in the pipe and ones we want, and roast Corp. Pretty fun lol.

Ohhhhh I LOVE this idea, let's do this! I lost a gigantic deal this week, cause our implementation team works only following their own structure that is the very opposite of client centric approach we followed till that moment. Sooo pissed.. please open this group, I need sympathy here too and can't post it on LinkedInย

I am a big fan of postmortem debriefs of lost deals to inform the team on what worked, what didn't, and how to be better on the next one. That said, GIVE ME THE WIRE.

Fire idea. Agreed there is more to be learned from a closed loss than a closed-won

Bummer about losing the deal. Thats the reason right there that you never assume something. Always ask!
