6sense vs. ZoomInfo

What's up Savages!


I looked to see if something similar has been asked before but was unsuccessful in finding anything with the search bar. So...I apologize ahead of time if this has been asked previously.


Has anyone any experience with 6sense as a prospecting tool like ZoomInfo or Seamless - aside from the general ABM, lead tracking, and intent purposes? For some context, we currently use ZoomInfo for prospecting purposes (mainly just source for prospects and contact info). However, we recently went live with 6sense as it replaced our Demandbase instance.


Now some people on our leadership team have it in their heads that we should ax ZoomInfo and use 6sense for everything under the sun in terms of lead research, and in this case, specifically, 6sense would replace ZoomInfo as our B2B prospect database.


Seeing as 6sense is focused on ABM and demand generation, I was looking to get some input for how the platform works from a cold prospecting perspective? Thanks.

Understandable, and thanks for the vote, ha! I am assuming it's going to be few and far between in terms of sales orgs leveraging 6sense in this manner.

See that's where I'm perplexed and the reason I asked the question. I wouldn't think that 6sense would provide info in the same mass manner ZI does, but apparently they do. Just trying to find out if anyone has personal experience with using 6sense in this capacity since it may be on our to do list.

When I find out more about how the contact info with 6sense works I will be sure to post here, but if anyone else has insight into this, it would be much appreciated!

I used 6sense at previous company and my new gig just turned it on. At both orgs were supplemented it w/ Zoominfo for contact sourcing.

We have 6sense and, at least in the case of our instance, it does not provide contact info unless that contact is already in our DB. Then it matches them up.   

So in a way, it's a bit useless in that we can see that a company or a person from that IP is browsing our site, but for determining who it was?  No chance unless they fill out a form and get captured.

6sense was the worst software I have ever used. they do not give you the prospect details that are visiting your website or anything along those lines and I have never seen them offer contact details so that would be new. I'm doubtful of the extent of their database or the accuracy of it.

We use them both and I wouldn’t say they’re competitive- zi is contacts and 6sense sort of gives marketo hot lead info and insights. I’d wayyyy prefer Clearbit for that though.

I believe they are probably one of Demandbase's biggest competitors. Essentially they do the same thing in terms of demand generation and tracking.
