Any AEs out there ever set up their own out of pocket referral program?

Been thinking about this because I might as well use my network to extend my network and get warm intros. curious to know if anyone has done this.

Obviously these folks wouldn't qualify to get on a corporate referral program since they're just Executives, not companies.

And my connections are happy to make connections but I'm sure paying a few hundred to a thousand bucks will incentivize them to brainstorm who else they can bring

Be very careful that this doesn’t go outside the bounds of your company policy. I work for a major global software vendor and paying out of pocket referral bonuses would 100% be considered a side agreement that could lead to termination.

Yeah I think this would be toeing legal and ethical boundaries.

No, ours were always setup and covered by the company. Contracts and what not had to be agreed too.
