2 weeks would not cause a discrepancy + most companies don't do employment verification. Source: 1 of my last 6 companies actually checked employment dates + one role came back with a 1.5 week discrepancy and it was cleared.

How would they find out? I would still just stick to what month I was there but unless it touches on a legal matter I don't believe it would impact anything.

Should’ve given more context - it’s because it’s the difference of applying while im still at current company/not so actively looking vs I left and I need something asap
I think you are fine, if it comes up a week or two in the future you can always say I recently gave my 2 weeks or something.
