Best book for someone whose bridging the sdr->ae skill gap

Had a few one on ones where my manager told me I was the best sdr hes dealt with in his career (sure buddy, lol) but we talked alot about how to sell and my biggest point he said I need to work on was relationship building (like selling to emotion). I am familiar with MEDDIC, I was told Im great at execution, any good reads for this?

The book of trial and error.  Just go at it.  Ive never read a "sales" book cover to cover and i dont think its held me back at all.  No reason why you cant build a relationship in your SDR role imo, just be ready to hand it on.  Shoot me down.

Jp but books are okay, doing things and failing is the only way to truly learn

Why did you walk back your suggestion? There's some validity to that if you think about it. To me, Green Eggs and Ham is a terrific story about a pestering little SDR who finally pushed his prospect to try something that looked disgusting. When Sam I Am got him to take the next step, so began his journey as an AE. Sometimes you gotta keep it simple and not waste money on stupid sales books written by "experts"
