Best Cold Call Follow Up

After a cold call visit, what is the maximum langth of a follow up email and what are you trying to accomplish?

My concern is that if they are more than a few sentences long, they won't be read through to the end. 

Looking for suggestions.

My cold follow ups consist of the below structure, typically listed out in bulleted sections

- Summary of what was discussed

- Summary of value you would bring

- Summary of next steps

So long as you reference what you discussed, the value and the next steps... Then it's pretty hard to F up. 

If they don't respond then the follow up isn't the issue.

The email should summarize the visit, so length isn't really an issue.  To me, the most important thing is to deliver anything you promised and to get that "next step", or what they promised.
