Bravado Anonymous Podcast [with WR Savages]

WR taught me in 3 months what my first sales gig couldn't in 2 years. Real savages are though less in number, but even a dozen of us can kick any sales podcast's butt is what I feel.

Not just for the newbies joining WR, but we can be anonymous guests for Bravado and share our sales knowledge outside the WR too.

Such rich knowledge lying out in comments from a couple of years can be put to voice.

@sahil: Bad idea to get this started? Anonymous Podcasts aren't a thing yet (as far as I know). Maybe we can be first to market here?

I like this idea but I would probably only be interested if it was a known professional hosting the podcast and then inviting WR gurus into chat.

True. Might risk the anonymity though

Well if said sales guru wasn't tied back to anyone here it shouldnt matter either way.  As I said, a recognized person i.e. someone I know is genuinely successful in sales.

Basically my point is, and I dont say this to slight anyone here at all, but I believe a large chunk of WR is exaggerated or over-egged (we are all in sales after all, its our job) and I wouldnt really be interested in listening to someone who says they are amazing and hugely skilled without anything backing that up.  However, for banter many offer on here, I would be interested in listening if they were being interviewed or spoken to by a recognized successful professional.

My belief is, the top 2-3% of sales people, or the real savages as you call them (the ones id be interested in listening to) most likely dont spend a lot of time here on WR or contribute that frequently because they likely dont have the time and are less likely to be frequent contributors.

That said, I dont doubt there are some real savages on here and I can name at least 2 frequent commenting savages on here id like to listen to on a podcast:

Appreciate the ego boost. I'd likely be down for this, just not sure how much people would get out of my banter. I am funny AF tho, so there's that.

Cool idea, all I can hear in my mind right now is whoever from the WR is on there has the voice distorter going and it will sound like someone is coming out of Witness Protection to get on the podcast.

wow so this is a super interesting idea.

you of course risk some of the anonymity when you start hearing people talk, but it could be fun.

I could see it as a WR Branded podcast, and a totally new thing with the "anonymous podcast"

Idk if its a good idea or a bad one but im interested haha

It'd be super fun with voice distorters. I just can't stop imagining lol

like the idea - initial feedback, i would not listen to a podcast with voice distorters though. makes sense in a vice documentary when the cartel is involved

Fair point. I'd still not want to not try though. All depends on Sahil now.

Id contribute. KFC radio (a barstool podcast) and the Ryen Russillo show each do anonymous segments and they work really well with emails/calls/vms.

Id be game.

Definitely risk anonymity when you have your voice out there. Do you plan on obscuring voice?

Distorting voice is easy. Question is, would be people want to listen to 15-20 mins of a distorted voice or would that get old?

How I’m seeing it is this from the shoes of the audience @GeneralCorp

- If I need advice / upskilling on anything related to Sales / SDR / AM / CSM role : I could any day go to YouTube and access all the content for free. Whether the creator is worth their salt or not, their content can be accessed with a click. Everyone’s a creator today since distribution is free.

- If, as an audience, I get to know that this advice is coming from an anonymous sales savage, who won’t be revealing their identity, and I can talk to them / take advice / etc. : I’m already excited. It’s like “getting inside information” : something that’s hard to hunt.

The anonymity in the design is something which can keep it new and refreshing. For how long? I can’t say.

But again, why I think the bravado community has seen the success that it has seen, is majorly because our identities are concealed.

<TLDR> Trust factor with Anonymous Advice can be massive, if and only if, we execute it right.

Hot diggity - that would be something worth listening to.

There are so many other sales podcasts that are recommended to me but, idk.

I would be an avid listener to a WR podcast though. More personable. (even though I'm new here).

I like this idea a lot. Maybe I could host it? I do wonder how you want to maintain anonymity of the guests. If they are anon, how do you know if you can trust what they say? If their resume is legit? How would we go about selecting guests? What kind of content would you be looking for from your typical sales savage?

@GeneralCorp:

1. Yes, who else would host it? It’s you, my lordship !

2. To maintain anonymity, we were thinking of a workaround. Like a voice distorter perhaps.

3. The trust part: would be very similar to how it is right now in the WarRoom. I personally think that over the podcast, it’d be more honest ( *cough* some ridiculous deal stories *cough* ).

4. Selecting guests can be done by looking at the intersection of most active war room members and those with highest commission points and/or badges ?

5. Now this one’s interesting. Maybe we can start somewhere. Like how to build a resume (freshers ask this a lot). Career trajectory post an SDR role. Anonymous salary discussions ;)
