Compensation data

Wondering what resources you might use to see what salary/commission is offered in your region?  I'm getting wildly varying compensation scales.

These are the best possible answers you could get. Repvue is pretty clutch and fairly accurate in my opinion.
Only other thing I'd add is Glassdoor but Repvue is better.

Thank you both! I have not tried RepVue, the other I checked out.

Maybe Glassdoor as well, but these are definitely your best bet.

Although it is limited for Canadian data, the US is as solid as you'll get.

Tbh I think glassdoor is an actual dumpster of shit. But would agree with RepVue for sure.

Another tactic I’ve used to inference the pay range is to look at similar or same jobs posted in states where law requires them to post the pay ranges in the JD (ex California, NY, etc). Usually you’ll be able to see their examples in the JD like Tier 1 geo is usually SF, NYC, tier 2 is usually Boston/ Chicago/ etc and tier 3 is reg size metro cities and remote options/ North America options

Glassdoor.

Also many jobs now post a range. Just look for similar ones.

But in the end, know your worth and don’t let someone else assign your worth to you.

Checking the ranges in other jobs is a great idea, especially for base.

Repvue is great - I used it to negotiate a pay rise when I moved job
