Creating Sales Content on Youtube?

Hello sales army. This is my second post, to preface I'm thorougly impressed by this community.

My question for today is regarding sales content on Youtube. As someone with content creation experience, is there demand for this niche? Is there anyone currently doing this?

I'm a BDR and moving to an AE role come Q3 next year at a B2B SAAS startup, and I'm just brainstorming and curious.

Appreciate all thoughts!🙌🏼

is there a need for this? well that depends. is there a need for an SDR to share content on YT? probably not.

actually....NO. there for sure is not a need for this.

BUT

if you have a story you are trying to tell/a unique perspective you want to share with the world, then MAYBE there is a need for this.

What sort of content would you want to create?

Ive seen some of the stuff that guy from Qualtrics put on YT and its Cringe AF in my mind.

@3dg18: There's 10X (not a cardone fan, before anyone asks) more bad advice on sales and biz dev out there than there's good.

Quite a lot of nutjobs on Youtube as well who have garnered a massive following by giving ancient sales advice from the times of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro. Most of them can't sell a pin today.

On the other end of the spectrum, people like Belal Batrwy, Chris Voss and everyone's favorite Ross Pomerantz make great, realistic content around sales, negotiation and prospecting.

Your heart seems to be in the right place if you're thinking about content creation at this stage. There's definitely a demand, but not enough supply of real savage-like sales content in my opinion.

There is SO MUCH of this.

And most of it is AWFUL, as @Gastyhas pointed out.

Much of it is also very cringey and outdated. You need to actually bring something of value to not fade away into the background.

Sales humor, sales memes and jokes - I think yes. Sales advice, I guess not.
Every person who's been in sales for more than 1 week thinks he / she / they / them can preach. So I guess advice is not something we need, relatability is something we might like.

Curious about what you would create.

I think in general there's a lot of content about just about everything you can imagine. The problem is quality. So how do you rise above the noise?

I repost my TikTok content to YouTube shorts (removing the TikTok watermark) and there's been some demand, but not as much as I expected.

TikTok is the place right now.

A lot of sales people are creating content on YouTube and LinkedIn. I can share names if you want

It’s a public space so there are a lot of content about everything including sales or any parts in sales.

The problem is there is no much bad advice or the same good advice from everyone.
