Crushing the LinkedIn sales but I'm scared I'll fail later in my career if I can't phone

Been booking 90% of my meetings through LinkedIn. Even tho I spend waaay less time doing it.

100 calls per week - 4 connects - 2 meetings.

10 LinkedIn messages - 8 responses - 6 meetings.

100 Emails per week - 17 responses - 1 meeting.

Theoretically, If I spent 8h/day on LinkedIn 5 days a week, I could 10x my number.

But if I don't learn to master the phone now - will it cost me in the future?

Or should I trust that I can adapt and survive. which I think I can..

Thoughts from the long time sales leaders and ICs?

What are you selling? And what's your secret? Selling through LI is definitely hard.

You should absolutely get in some reps on the phone though.

I'm more of an Output person. You get it through LinkedIn / Email / Cold Calls / Twitter / Sending a Raven / JibberJabberYabberDabber,

Thatโ€™s the truth!

Most managers that are running a good sales team wonโ€™t freak as long as youโ€™re numbers are good. Make the team look good and you are golden.

A good book is good, a good movie is good. The medium doesn't matter if its good.

Sure you might have a manager who is big on calls, but the main thing is booking meetings.

Let us know what really matters though.. Of those meetings, how many held and how many have produced opportunities? Keep it in the same format

17 responses 1 meeting is a very strange number to me.

Also, 10 LI messages and 6 meetings are totally strange.

First off wow, crazy success you're having on LI. I'd keep doing it. You can perfect your pitches and value props and all that during your meetings, I say git while the gittin' is good yo.

Social selling is definitely the way to roll these days. But you are correct, you want to be well skilled. Add in cold calling everyday for an hour to practice the skill. You will need this for advancement or if you switch companies. Congratulations on nailing LinkedIn.

For me it is all about the output and the ability to adapt to whatever is the preferred method of communication for that industry or decision maker. Never give one completely up communication preferences/styles change.

Like "The Purge" but for sales.. 1 day a year where you can say whatever you want to prospects
